Art Party @ Lola

Although we are an art studio, this is the first time that we actually got to organize an ART party as such, and it was so exciting for me!!

For the decorations we went with lots of primary colors and palettes and paintbrushes and colorful balloons and pompoms…

For the food we did colorful mini cupcakes on palettes and mini smartie toped brownies with brushes, paint blob shaped jellies, popcorn, crisps, corn on the cob and colorful circle shaped mini sandwiches….nothing too healthy!

For activities, well that was easy! The children created their own styrofoam prints and used them to make tshirts, there were some absolutely amazing results..!

more peace!

We then made some Picasso inspired portraits on canvas in acrylics…

Finally the children got to decorate their own plastic art folders with lots of multicolored foam and felt stickers and colored mini tapes…

For party bags we prepared mini art kits; with the children’s own rolled up canvas, paint palette, oil and acrylic paints, mini wood figurines to paint and decorate, mini ceramic pomegranate to paint and decorate, and fine paintbrush. A true artist’s kit! The bags themselves we splatter painted a la Jackson Pollock and added a mini pompom to match the decoration of Lola…

Here are some other great ideas I found on the internet…
